Mr. Vernon is a member of the Altus Kiwanis Club, a member and past Chairman of the Altus Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Altus Military Affairs Committee, and is a former Honorary Commander for the 54th Air Refueling Squadron, Altus AFB.  Mr. Vernon is a graduate of the Leadership Altus Class V and has served as President of the Jackson County Bar Association.
